Embracing My Better Qualities: Confessions of a 20 Something Wanderlust

Alright. Confessions time. It’s not often I get down and dirty with you guys, but, we’ve been with each other for some time now – I think you’re ready to learn some real truths behind this blogger and get to know me just a little bit better. We all have qualities that are a tad, er, unique. And  I say those need to be celebrated! Over the years – as I’ve aged…

My Little “Routine”

You know those articles that present us with lists of things we should incorporate into our daily lives? “9 Daily Habits That Will Change Your Life.” etc… I stumbled upon one the other day,  and it got me thinking about all the years I spent trying to find my own routine.  All those times I tried to follow lists of health guidelines and suggestions thrown at us in countless web posts, but more often than not, failed…

Christmas 2015

Like so many years before, another Christmas has come and gone. Of course, the season of the holiday continues, but the glitz and glamour of the one special day is now past. It was a traditional Christmas at my home, as it always is. The Christmas Tree was decorated with our random assortment of ornaments, all bursting with childhood memories.  Too many gifts were placed beneath. My goal for homemade and simple giving was achieved and finished off…

Me. My Dream. And a confession.

Hi all, The pictures dispersed through this post are from a trip I made to Stratford, Ontario in the early fall. A small town, home to Canada’s most prestigious classical theatre festival. An early exercise in The Artist Way is called, “Detective Work…

Happiness Touchstones

I am currently making my way through the wonderful Artists Way by Julie Cameron. For those of you who have not heard of it, this is basically a book course on unblocking your creativity. There is a large spiritual component, but I would honestly recommend this book to anyone, whether you follow any sort of religion or are completely atheist. This book has been a massive part of my recovery. I’d recommend it to anyone going through any…

“Me”… a beginning.

“…’Cause the sun mashes my heart with happiness so much, I want to dance before 8 o’clock in the morning while the coffee is on the stove.” (Greta – Coffee Addict) Goodmorning! I am sure I will be sharing more and more about myself as I continue on with this blog. Actually, I’m going to have to restrain myself to not just go word crazy and try to reveal EVERYTHING in one…

…is this thing on?

Hi… (Can you smell my apprehension through your screen?) As I sit here in my rain-leaking, garbage infested basement at work, scarfing down my Annie’s Mac&Cheese, I’m staring at my screen thinking, “Would I actually do this?” “Make my own blog?” “Put something out there for anyone to possibly.. maybe.. potentially.. actually… read?!” …..Why am I doing this!? Over the last few years, I…
