Highlights From The Week (Week In Review)

Mmmmmm. It’s 8:30 here on a Sunday night. I just tucked myself into bed with a hot turmeric latte (crushing a day long craving), fleecy house coat and 80% dark chocolate. Just shortly ago I returned home from a film screening to see one of the films I shot earlier this winter, alongside a whole auditorium of other people watching for the first time. I’m feeling super tired at the end of this here week…

Week In Review: Looking With a Lens of Gratitude

Happy Monday, friends Many – though not all – of you celebrated Thanksgiving last week. From what I gather from my lovely American friends, that day is rather big down there. I sincerely hope each of you enjoyed whatever the week brought you: time with family, some friends, time around a table with others, good food, relaxation, a dip out of your norm, and most importantly, a feeling of connection.  And as the holiday suggests, I hope you also…

Week In Review: Settling In and Settling Down

Goodmorning all, Last week I… didn’t do much. In the grand scheme of things.  What I did do, though, was come off my high. I was also able to start giving myself some grace.  After the post I wrote last week, I’d say this is the biggest achievement I could have strived for.  … from my morning scone to yours As you’ve probably gathered from my last few weeks…

Finding Moments To Stop and Do Nothing: Necessities in a Busy Week (Week In Review)

Wowwww What a week. As they all are… If I’m learning anything prominent in this life (ha) it is that – especially in seasons that seem overwhelmingly busy or chaotic – it is absolutely imperative to take moments to just stop and do nothing. I had three noticeable examples of this this week, each sticking out to be equally glorious and necessary.  In regards to what I wrote about last week, I stand by…

Week In Review: Career Guilt, Buckling Down and… Glitter

Hi friends, How are you? I missed last week’s Week In Review so am feeling a little out-of-routine. I apologize now – this post is heavy on actor stuff. Maybe you can substitute your own goals or career path to make it more relatable? This last week was freaking hard. Emotionally I just… man, I just had a really hard time.   You know what I discovered? I discovered that of all the triggers that…

Hi lovelies, I’m here as usual to link up with Meg and appreciate the little accomplishments in my previous week. ‘Cause when does taking time to appreciate the little things not make you feel all warm and fuzzy?  Last week I… Meg knows what she’s talking about. Go check it out!   Spent a couple days in Stratford, Ontario with my parents and saw two fabulous shows Where I will be one day…

‘Tis The Season for Weddings…. and Bed Bugs? (Week In Review)

Oif. Sometimes I really think I’m on The Truman Show.  Like there’s a little jokester out there tweedling away on some remote, who just loovveessss to throw curve balls out on my secret reality show life, simply for his own joy and amusement. I can see him now, in his elfish little slippers, setting me up on some nice routine where everything is just starting to feel comfy and in control, and then with perfect Nikilodian timing…

Coffee Chat: End of Summer, Longings, and Starting New (Week In Review)

Good morning dove, Can we go on a coffee date? So I can maybe tell you everything that’s rumbling around in this heart and soul of mine? Sort of like an end of summer thinking out loud meets “currently” update? Okay. Thank you. Thank you for listening.  Telling you all about my last week, thanks to Meg  Last week I… Took a day off work to visit a friend in Burlington &#8211…

Week In Review: A Flip Flop Week. Stomach Pains Increase.

Hi guys, I first have to kind of apologize. I just feel like a super bad blogger right now. Not that I feel I need apologize for that. I just feel like I have so much going on right now – so much mess and experimenting in terms of my food and stomach issues – that it makes blogging super, super hard (not to mention way too many shifts at work and a change in how I want to spend…

Thankful For The Women I Have In My Life (Week In Review)

You know, life is a hard thing.  It can be really, really hard. For many numerous and varying reasons. It doesn’t matter our history, our health, our financial status etc etc…. each one of us will and does have our own set of struggles or heart breaks or barriers to cross.  So when I come across people in my life who perform these – even miniature sized – acts of kindness, and give over a…
